Fabulous Tour of Northern Spain and Portugal! Discover all the natural and cultural richness of this diverse area of the Iberian Peninsula in a complete circuit of cities such as Zaragoza, Santillana del Mar, Santiago de Compostela, Guimarães, Fatima, Porto and Lisbon, among others.

  • 1st Day (Sunday) MADRID – ZARAGOZA – PAMPLONA

We will leave at 8 in the morning from Madrid to Zaragoza ,having a brief stop to get to know the city and its renowned Basilica. Then we will follow the route until we reach Pamplona, where we will have dinner included and accommodation at the hotel.

  • 2nd Day (Monday) PAMPLONA - SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – SANTANDER

We will have breakfast and then we will leave for San Sebastian, with free time to stroll along La Concha Bay or enjoy its old town. Later we will reach Bilbao, where we will make a stop at the avant-garde Guggenheim Museum (entrance not included). Then we will continue on our way to Santander . We will have free time before dinner at the hotel, which will be our accommodation for that night.

  • 3rd Day (Tuesday) SANTANDER – SANTILLANA DEL MAR - COVADONGA – OVIEDO

After breakfast we will leave for the Picos de Europa, crossing amazing landscapes. We will arrive at Santillana del Mar, where we will have a brief stop. Then we will continue to Covadonga, where we will have free time to visit its famous Sanctuary. The last stop of the day will be in Oviedo. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Oviedo.

  • 4th Day (Wednesday) OVIEDO – LA CORUÑA

After breakfast at the hotel we will leave early for La Coruña. Upon arrival we will take a brief panoramic tour of the city, to get a first look at the most relevant places. In the afternoon there will be free time and those who feel like it can take an optional excursion through the typical towns of the Rías Altas.

  • 5th Day (Thursday) LA CORUÑA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast and departure to Santiago de Compostela, where we will visit the emblematic sites of this important pilgrimage center, such as the Cathedral and Plaza del Obradoiro, Rúa de Francos, among others.

The afternoon will be free to explore the city on your own. Dinner and accommodation in Santiago de Compostela.

  • 6th Day (Friday) SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RÍAS BAJAS - VIGO

After breakfast we will go to the Rías Bajas, enjoying on the way the beautiful landscapes. We will have a stop at La Toja Island and later at O Grove, where you can optionally take a catamaran ride along the estuary and enjoy a tasting of mussels and Ribeiro wine on board. Later we will arrive in Vigo. We will have free time in the city.

In the afternoon, those who wish may take an optional excursion to Santa Tecla. Accommodation at the hotel in Vigo.

  • 7th Day (Saturday) VIGO - VIANA DO CASTELO - BRAGA – PORTO

Breakfast and departure to Portugal, to reach Viana do Castelo, between the mouth of the Miño river and Porto. We will have free time to visit its old town. We will continue on our way to Braga , with free time to visit the Archbishopric, the Cathedral and the Palaces, among other places. After taking a walk through this city we will continue towards Porto. Accommodation at hotel in Porto.

  • 8th Day (Sunday) PORTO

Breakfast. In the morning we will visit the most interesting places and monuments in Porto's old town, ending the visit with a wine tasting in a traditional winery. The rest of the day will be free, at your disposal. Accommodation at the hotel.

  • 9th Day (Monday) PORTO – COÍMBRA

Breakfast. Later, we will take the route to Coimbra, a university centre of great prestige throughout Europe. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Coímbra.

  • 10th Day (Tuesday) COÍMBRA - FÁTIMA — LISBON

Breakfast and later departure to Fátima, where we will have time to visit the famous Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima. We will then leave for Lisbon. Accommodation in Lisbon. Possibility of attending a typical Fado show at night.

  • 11th Day (Wednesday) LISBON

We will have the morning to get to know the best places in the vibrant Portuguese capital. We will visit the Alfama Quarter, the Belem tower and the Monastery of Jeronimos, both declared World Heritage Sites.

The afternoon will be free to enjoy Lisbon. We also offer an excursion (optional) to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril, three picturesque coastal villages.

  • 12th Day (Thursday) LISBOA — CÁCERES — MADRID

Breakfast. During this last day of excursion we will return to Spain to visit Cáceres, especially the Old City, declared World Heritage Site. Free lunch time.

Finally we will return to Madrid in the afternoon, where we will end our Tour of the North of Spain and Portugal.

                                      • On the departure date of July 12th, accommodation will take place in a city near Pamplona.

                                      In most hotels, triple rooms consist of 2 beds, or a double bed plus a sofa bed or a folding bed.

  • The tour includes in the price a visit with an official guide to the most important cities. However, our guide will offer you some excursions or complementary visits that may be of interest to you. These are not included in the price of the tour, they are paid at the destination and a minimum number of people is needed to guarantee the tour departure.
  • Children under 4 years old have a free fare on the bus, without the right to bed, sharing a room with two adults. The expenses incurred must be paid by their parents.

I love the guides, Juan and Adrianna. They worked so hard to keep me safe and comfortable during 12 days of Northern Spain and Portugal. Dealing wiith such a large group of diverse travelers from countries across the globe is not easy and to give explanations in two languages at every point when groups change every so often and to treat each traveler with respect at all times even when they do or say things that are hurtful to others, require strength and fortitude which Adrianna demonstrated every moment. I am saying that Adrianna made this tour successful for everyone, and without her I would have experienced many more obstacles. I am 75, and yes, I am an experienced traveler, be Adrianna anticipated and managed situations as they arose which enabled me to sit back and enjoy Northern Spain and Portugal. She is strong. I was a solo traveler with made friends with other travelers during the 12 days. The other travelers also helped me navigate and make the most of each destination. They cared about me and I cared about them during the time we spent together. These friendship groups often changed as travelers were on slightly different tours. It was often difficult for me to say goodbye because they were so good to me. So the most important parts of the tour was definitely Adrianna and my fellow travelers. The tour itself was Amazing. I have always dreamed of visiting Northern Spain. I don’t know why, but maybe I identify with the independent spirit of the Basque Country. And touring Portugal, Porto, Coimbra, Fátima, Lisbon and its beautiful surrounding towns made my heart happy. I enjoyed every minute. If you are a traveler who likes to complain, there are some things you can complain about like some oh the hotels and the food. I just dealt with and solved any issue as I do on any other trip. If something is offered that I don’t like, I don’t eat it. I don’t complain because it’s my choice. Also, the hotels are a mixed bag. But in life, you get what you pay for. The trip was set at a reasonable place and the hotel rooms are reasonable and some better than that. If you take photographs, at the end of your trip, you will look back and see what a wonderful experience it really was. I am happy that I went on the trip of northern Spain and Portugal. The tour guides, I fellow travelers, the beautiful places, and my attitude traveling made this trip and unforgettable experience. At 75, I am so grateful to have such an experience.

El guía tanto, en España como Portugal, excelente. Los hoteles de muy buena calidad. El autobús durante el tour en España excelente. Sin embargo, durante el tour en Portugal no hubo Wifi durante dos días por una falla.

Es la segunda vez que viajo con ustedes. En esta oportunidad, por no cumplir con un cupo de pasajeros, viajamos en un micro pequeño sin guía. El chofer, excelente persona, nos indicaba pero una guía es necesaria. Por esa misma razón, tampoco hicimos los opcionales. La gente que se sumó en Oviedo, muy a disgusto. Los hoteles bien, aunque muy alejados. La comida buena. Nuestros choferes fueron Acedin y José. Nuestra guía a partir del 31 de Agosto fue Adriana. Ustedes cuentan con un equipo de gente EXCELENTE. Ustedes cómo empresa deberían respaldarlos más.
