Explore the routes of the fascinating Iberian Peninsula with our 10-day tour of southern Spain and Portugal . Leaving from Madrid, we stop at the monumental city of Salamanca on the way to Portugal. On the other side of the border we will visit Fatima and Lisbon. Back in Spain we will meet Mérida, Seville, Cordoba, Granadaand Toledo, finally returning to Madrid.
- Day 1 (Tuesday) MADRID - SALAMANCA - PORTO
Departure from our terminal at 8:00 AM for Salamanca, an ancient and monumental university city.
Free time to stroll through the old town and explore its famous Baroque-style Plaza Mayor. Continue to Porto. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city, including the cathedral, the Stock Exchange, and the Church of Santa Clara, ending at a local port wine cellar where we will taste its world-renowned port wine. Rest of free time. Accommodation.
- Day 3 (Thursday) PORTO - COIMBRA - FÁTIMA - LISBON
Breakfast and departure for Coimbra, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of fado. Free time. Continue to Fátima, an important pilgrimage center. Free time to visit the Basilica and the Sanctuary. Continue to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Overnight stay. In the evening, there is an optional fado show.

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour of this beautiful city, located at the mouth of the Tagus River: Mirador del Parque, Praça Eduardo VII, Praça do Rossio, Avenida da Liberdade, Madragoa district (where fado was born). We will continue to the Belém district, with its famous Belém Tower, Monument to the Navigators, and Jerónimos Monastery. Free afternoon. We recommend an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. Accommodation.
- Day 5 (Saturday) LISBOA — MERIDA — SEVILLE
Breakfast. We will begin our return journey to Spain, stopping in Mérida, with free time to explore its impressive archaeological complex, where the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are highlights.
After lunch (not included), we will continue to Seville, one of the jewels of southern Spain. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in the city.
Breakfast at the hotel. During the morning we will take a guided tour of Seville, where we will be able to get to know the María Luisa Park, the Plaza de Españaand the traditional Barrio de Santa Cruz. We offer, optionally, to extend the tour with a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River. Then we will enjoy lunch at a restaurant.
The afternoon will be at your leisure. Accommodation and dinner at the hotel in Seville. To complement the night in Seville, we suggest you attend, optionally, a flamenco show.
- Day 7 (Monday) SEVILLA — CÓRDOBA
On the sixth day of our tour of the South of Spain and Portugal we will start, as usual, having breakfast at the hotel. Then we will leave for the city of Córdoba. In this city Caliphal we will know inside the monumental Mosque of Cordoba, declared World Heritage Site. In addition, we will take a guided walk from the Puerta de Almodovar to the Jewish Quarter, walking through the picturesque alleys, the synagogue and the Souk of the artisans.
The rest of the day will be free. Dinner and overnight at the hotel of Cordoba.
- Day 8 (Tuesday) CÓRDOBA — RONDA — COSTA DEL SOL
We will have breakfast and leave for Ronda, an ancient city that is part of the well-known Pueblos Blancos, where we will have free time to stroll around the city to admire the Puente Nuevo, the Puente viejo and the Plaza de Toros.
We will continue on our way to the popular Costa del Sol, in Malaga. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
- Day 9 (Wednesday) COSTA DEL SOL — GRANADA
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for Granada, home of the beautiful Alhambra, an impressive architectural complex declared World Heritage Site, among the most visited in Spain. There we will visit its monumental complex and the Generalife.
In the evening we will enjoy dinner and overnight in the hotel of Granada. For those who wish, we offer an optional visit to the caves of the Sacromonte district, where a flamenco zambra show will take place.
- Day 10 (Thursday) GRANADA — TOLEDO — MADRID
We will have breakfast and start the journey back to Madrid. On the way, we will stop at the old capital of Spain, Toledo. Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch and then take a guided tour of this beautiful city, baptized as the second Rome, for the beauty and variety of monuments it treasures.
At the end of the afternoon, we arrive in Madrid, where our tour of southern Spain and Portugalends.
