Description

Get to know the most beautiful places and landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula with this tour through Galicia, Portugal and Andalusia. Starting from Madrid, during this 14-day circuit we will visit historic cities such as La Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Oporto, Lisbon, Granada and Seville.

DAY 1 (Tuesday) Madrid - León - Oviedo (460 km)

We will leave at 07:30 from Madrid to León, where we will make the first stop to freely visit some of its main attractions such as the Gothic Cathedral, with the most beautiful stained glass windows in Europe, the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro and/or the plateresque-style facade of Hostal San Marcos. After enjoying free time in this beautiful city, we will continue our trip to Oviedo.

We will arrive at the assigned hotel in Oviedo, where we can rest. Overnight accommodation.

DAY 2 (Wednesday) Oviedo - La Coruña - Santiago de Compostela (365 km)

After breakfast, we will leave for La Coruña, one of Galicia’s main cities, for a short panoramic tour. We will then continue to Santiago de Compostela, a renowned pilgrimage destination, for a guided city visit. We will explore the Plaza del Obradoiro and admire the Cathedral.

DAY 3 (Thursday) Santiago de Compostela

Optional excursion · Finisterre

After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Santiago de Compostela. You can also join an optional excursion to Finisterre.

DAY 4 (Friday) Santiago de Compostela - Rías Baixas - Vigo (160 km)

After breakfast we will leave for the Rías Baixas, enjoying the landscapes of this part of Galicia along the way. We will make a brief stop on the Island of La Toja and continue to O Grove.

Optional Catamaran trip in O Grove

Optionally, those who wish can take a catamaran tour and see the cultivation of oysters and mussels, with a tasting of mussel and ribeiro wine.

We will continue the trip to Vigo, where we will enjoy free time.

Optional Visit to Santa Tecla

We offer you an optional excursion to Santa Tecla.

DAY 5 (Saturday) Vigo - Viana do Castelo - Braga - Guimarães - Porto (250 km)

After breakfast, we will cross into Portugal towards Viana do Castelo, between the beautiful landscapes of the mouth of the Miño River and Porto. We will have free time to visit the old town with cobblestone streets and emblazoned buildings. We will continue to Braga, known as the city of archbishops, and then to Guimarães, the first capital of the Portuguese kingdom and a World Heritage city, where we will have free time.

Then we will continue on the way to Porto. Accommodation in Porto.

DAY 6 (Sunday) Porto

After breakfast, we will tour the historic center of Porto with a local guide on a panoramic visit taking in the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange and the Church of Santa Clara, ending the visit with a tasting of the famous Port wine in a local winery. The rest of the day will be free time. Accommodation at the hotel in Porto.

DAY 7 (Monday) Porto - Aveiro - Coimbra (140 km)

After breakfast, we will head to Aveiro, known for its canals as the Portuguese Venice. We will continue to Coimbra, one of the main European university centers and the birthplace of Fado. We will take free time to see the city. Lunch, free time and overnight accommodation at the hotel.

DAY 8 (Tuesday) Coimbra - Fátima - Lisbon (222 km)

After breakfast, we will leave for Fátima. You will have free time to visit the Sanctuary and Basilica of Fátima, an important pilgrimage center of the Christian faith. We will then leave for Lisbon.

Optional Fado show

At night, we offer an optional ticket to a traditional Fado show, typical Portuguese music.

DAY 9 (Wednesday) Lisbon

We will have breakfast at the hotel and in the morning we will take a panoramic tour of the most beautiful and interesting places in Lisbon. The route takes in the park viewpoint, Eduardo VII Square, Rossio Square, Avenida da Liberdade and the Madragoa neighbourhood. We will continue to Belém, with its tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery.

Optional Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

During your free afternoon, you will have the possibility to book an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.

DAY 10 (Thursday) Lisbon - Mérida - Seville (480 km)

After breakfast, we will cross the border with Spain again and make a stop in Mérida. Free time to explore its impressive archaeological complex, which features the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, declared a World Heritage Site.

After lunch (not included), we will continue on the way to Seville. In Seville, we will have dinner and accommodation included.

DAY 11 (Friday) Seville

After breakfast, we will get ready to explore this jewel of Andalusia. With a local guide, we will discover the María Luisa Park, the Plaza de España, the exterior of the Cathedral and the Giralda, and the Santa Cruz neighbourhood. Lunch is at your own expense.

Optional Guadalquivir cruise

If you want to know more about Seville, you will have the option of sailing along the Guadalquivir River, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Torre del Oro and Expo 92.

Optional Visit to the Maestranza bullring

You can also visit the Maestranza bullring as an optional activity.

The afternoon will be free at your disposal.

Optional Flamenco show

Also, at night, optionally, you can attend a flamenco dance show.

DAY 12 (Saturday) Seville - Ronda - Costa del Sol (190 km)

We will have breakfast and head to Ronda, one of the cities that is part of the White Towns, with free time to tour the historic center and take a look at the Puente Nuevo, the Plaza de Toros and admire the beautiful views of the mountains. Then we will continue towards the Costa del Sol.

DAY 13 (Sunday) Costa del Sol - Granada (180 km)

After breakfast, we will leave for Granada to visit the monumental complex of The Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Optional Sacromonte and zambra flamenco

A visit to the Sacromonte neighborhood to attend a Zambra Flamenca show is offered as an extra.

DAY 14 (Monday) Granada - Toledo - Madrid (446 km)

After breakfast, we will leave for Toledo, city of the Three Cultures, where we will have lunch included. After lunch, we will take a panoramic tour of this World Heritage city, a former capital of Spain, from the Mirador del Valle. After a walk through the historic center, we will leave for Madrid.

With our arrival in Madrid, we will end the tour.

  • If the Alhambra and Generalife authorities cannot supply admission tickets for technical or organisational reasons, the visit will be replaced by a tourist activity in Granada. The programme lists possible alternatives such as the Palace of Charles V, the Archaeological Museum, the Church of Santa María, the Royal Chapel, the Alcaicería, Cathedral Square or a zambra flamenco performance; not all of these are guaranteed.
  • You must bring your passport or national identity card to enter the Alhambra.
