Description

Join us on this Tangier day trip from Malaga or Costa del Sol. You will enjoy a walking tour of the most important sites in the city, such as the Souk, the Medina and the Kasbah, learning all about the rich culture of Morocco. Then, you will take a bus to travel along the maritime coasts, admiring the best panoramic views of Tangier. The tour also includes a delicious traditional lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant.

After an easy bus ride from Malaga, we will arrive at the port of Tarifa, where we will get on a Fast Ferry to cross the Strait of Gibraltar. Once we have arrived in Tangier, we will begin with an amazing panoramic tour along the maritime coasts, by passing through the Avenida Mohamed V, the Severo Ochoa Institute, the Portuguese, American, Italian and Spanish neighborhoods, the famous Royal Palace and the Roman Necropolis of Punic.

After the panoramic tour wi will take a brief stop at Cape Spartel (only between June and October), where the waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic converge.

Back in the city center, you will take awalking tour of the Small Souk, where you will find a wide variety of Mediterranean fruits and vegetables, spices, dried fruits, etc. We will also visit the street of the jewelers, where our guide will tell you all about the Moroccan marriage ritual.

Then, we will explore the Medina, the historic center of the city that still retains its area of walls with circular towers, and the Kasbah, the former Governor's Palace, now converted into the Tangier Museum.

Next, we'll take a break to see the snake charmers and try some fresh bread at one of the local bakeries. We will also stop at a typical Moroccan restaurant, to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.

After lunch, we will visit the Bazaar, where you can appreciate the different types of Moroccan carpets and other local crafts. You will have free time for shopping.

Finally, we will return to the port of Tarifa to begin the way back to Malaga, thus ending this incredible Tangier day trip.

Note that

  • Do not forget your Passport (and Visa, in case that your nationality require it to visit Morocco). This documents are mandatory to enjoy the tour.

Duration

The duration of the tour varies according to the time of year:

  • From June 1 to October 31: 16 hours approx. (6 hours in Tangier).
  • From November 1 to May 31: 14 hours approx (5 hours in Tangier).
  • The visit to Cape Espartel takes place only between June and October.
  • Please note that the itinerary and schedule of this trip are subject to change due to ferry’s timetables, the Ramadan holiday and other unforeseen circumstances.

"I enjoyed this trip and found it very interesting."

I was pleased that the start was later than I originally thought and given the length of the trip this was a bonus. The tour of Tangier was interesting and I liked the lunch. The visits to the carpet shop and pharmacy were not too long and it was good to have a little free time afterwards. I think it would have been helpful to have a stop on the way to Tarifa as I was unable to get coffee etc before the start of the tour.

The bus tour and lunch were well organized, Zuzanna was very nice and knew very much, the chauffeur in spain was also very good. The local guide in Tangier spoke very nicely german, BUT the shopping and visiting time after lunch was horrible. We had no time to look at anything and we just should buy as much as possible. The "pharmacie" was a joke.
