Discover Morocco’s imperial cities on this 7-day tour of Morocco from Spain. Departing from the Costa del Sol, we will cross the Strait of Gibraltar to explore Tangier, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, Meknes, Fez, Casablanca, Marrakech and Rabat.
- Day 1 (Sunday) COSTA DEL SOL – TANGIER
We will depart from the Costa del Sol and travel to the port to board the ferry to Morocco. After crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, we will arrive in Tangier and take a panoramic tour of its surroundings.
The route takes us to Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, where admission is not included. Enjoy free time or join an optional excursion to Tetouan, available at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Tangier.
- Day 2 (Monday) TANGIER – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ
After breakfast, we will travel to Volubilis to explore its Roman ruins. We will discover the ancient main street, the Decumanus Maximus, running between the Tangier Gate and the Arch of Caracalla, one of the archaeological site’s most distinctive monuments.
We will continue to Meknes, an imperial city that served as Morocco’s capital during the reign of Moulay Ismail. Our visit takes in its medina, El-Hedim Square and the monumental Bab Al Mansour Gate.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Fez. Dinner and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, we will explore Fez with a local guide. A panoramic tour will introduce us to the seven gates of the Dar Al-Makhzen Royal Palace before we enter the medina of Fez el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From Bab Boujloud Gate to Es-Seffarine Square, we will discover narrow streets and neighbourhoods where traditional crafts are still practised. We will visit a medersa and explore the artisan, tanner and pottery quarters.
Enjoy an included lunch at a traditional restaurant. The afternoon will be free to continue exploring Fez independently. Overnight accommodation.
- Day 4 (Wednesday) FEZ – CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we will depart for Casablanca, Morocco’s economic centre. You will have free time for lunch at your own expense, a stroll along the Corniche or a look at the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Marrakech. Arrival, included dinner and overnight accommodation.
- Day 5 (Thursday) MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we will discover Marrakech with a local guide. We will begin beside the Koutoubia Mosque, one of the city’s landmarks, before continuing to the Bahia Palace.
We will explore the Jewish Quarter, or Mellah, and pass through Kissaria Square on our way to the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square. Our route continues through the narrow streets of the souk, past traditional workshops and shops, to discover local crafts and a Berber pharmacy selling natural products.
Lunch is included at a traditional restaurant. The afternoon will be free to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace. Overnight accommodation.
- Day 6 (Friday) MARRAKECH – RABAT
After breakfast, we will travel to Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital. On arrival, a tour with a local guide will take us to the Hassan Tower, beside the column-lined esplanade of its unfinished mosque, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
We will finish with a walk through the Kasbah of the Oudayas and along the waterfront beside the Bou Regreg River.
In the evening, enjoy a panoramic night tour of Rabat and an included dinner at a restaurant. Overnight accommodation.
- Day 7 (Saturday) RABAT – TANGIER – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast, we will depart for Tangier to board the ferry back to Spain. After disembarking, we will continue by road to the Costa del Sol, with arrival in Málaga expected at around 8:30 p.m., where our tour of Morocco from Spain will end.
