Get to know two World Heritage cities on this Tour to Toledo and Segovia from Madrid, accompanied by an expert guide and with tickets included to the main places of interest.
The first city to visit will be Toledo, the former capital of Spain and known as the City of Three Cultures, for centuries of Christian cultures, Muslims and Jews.
Upon arrival in Toledo, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Mirador del Valle to get the perfect photo. Next, we will visit a damascene workshopwhere we can admire the ancient craft technique of inlaying precious metals in steel, widely used to make swords and other typical Castilian souvenirs.
We will continue with a walking tour of the old town, wandering through the streets and charming places until we reach the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and contemplate the façade of the Primary Cathedral, in the Gothic style, and the old Palace of Justice. We will continue through the Jewish Quarter, passing by the Santa María la Blanca Synagogue, one of the oldest in Europe. We will also see the Santo Tomé Church, where one of Toledo's most famous paintings is found, “The Burial of Count Orgaz”, by El Greco.
Afterwards we will have free time to eat on our own before leaving for Madrid, where we will make a 20-minute stop before continuing on to Segovia.
The local Segovia guide will receive you with an introductory explanation of this beautiful city, to continue visiting the impressive main axis of the historic center and its most emblematic monuments such as the Roman Aqueduct b>, very well preserved, and one of the most superb works that the Romans left distributed throughout their vast empire. In addition, you will be able to see the Cathedral (entrance fees included), baptized as the Lady of the Spanish Cathedrals for its dimensions and its Gothic-style elegance.
After strolling through the city, it's time to discover the most visited monument, the Alcázar of Segovia, an icon of medieval fortresses and the Royal College of Artillery. We will tour the outside of the Alcázar in the company of the guide. At the end, you will have free time at the venue, before starting the trip back to Madrid, where we will arrive around 8:00 p.m.
